Partnerships
Strategic partnerships are a key component in the ministry of Mission10:14. We desire partnerships that support a common vision and help to accelerate the expansion of God’s kingdom among the unreached peoples of West Africa. Mission10:14 seeks to work in partnership with churches, individuals and organizations in fulfilling its mission to bring good news to small and isolated people groups in West Africa, and to facilitate transformational projects that meet practical needs.

partneringPartnerships are important for the following reasons:
• They cause all who are involved to pursue a greater vision together than what one person can accomplish alone, “A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12b)
• Partnerships provide the basis for a more rapid expansion of the work of God’s kingdom.
• Working in partnership builds greater accountability for everyone involved.
• Partnerships extend a ministry’s effectiveness.

Mission10:14 chooses to partner in ministry with:
Churches–Mission10:14 can assist in the roles of personalizing missions and mobilization, giving churches an opportunity to participate at varioius levels (prayer, financial support, missions education, and participation).
Individuals–More than just financial supporters, individuals are partners who help make it possible to take the gospel to unreached people groups in West Africa.
Organizations–Through specific projects, organizations can work along-side Mission10:14 to more rapidly expand the work of the kingdom of God and bring life transformation to individuals in need.

Village Garden Projects
Transformational Projects Meeting Practical Needs

villagegardenIn Mali, West Africa, where subsistence farming is a way of life for most families, 64 percent of the population lives below the poverty line. With a long and hot dry season, growing enough food to feed a family can be a daunting task. When rains do come, they can often be scattered and brief, bringing hardly enough moisture to keep crops alive; or they can be so strong that fields flood and crops become damaged and fail.

In response to these challenges, Mission10:14 is responding to an invitation from the Ministry of Agriculture in Mali by initiating Village Garden Projects that aim to provide a sustainable food source that will be available throughout much of the year. Working with local village leaders, these initiatives are designed to form partnerships with women in the villages to develop improved food sources for their families, as well as provide items that can be traded or sold in the local markets; thereby, providing additional income for a family.

Radio Wassulu–Bible Story Projects
Broadcasting Bible Stories into Rural Villages.

radioIn their third year, the Chronological Bible Stories broadcast by Radio Wassulu have become very popular with listeners in the villages. Each story is recorded in the local language and averages about 12 minutes in length. We contract with the station to broadcast two stories each week on Wednesday evenings. The story cycle is completed every 30 weeks, and is repeated to cover each of the 52 weeks during a year.

Thanks to generous gifts from churches and individuals, the stories are broadcast and God is using them to reveal His truth and make a difference in the hearts of the Wassulu people.

Recently, one employee at the radio station shared the following news:

“During our open house here at Radio Wassulu, we invited people from all over the region to stop by for a visit and tell us what they liked. Many people came and commented on the Bible stories, telling us how much they enjoy listening to them. They told us we must continue broadcasting the stories.”

            And…

“The other day, a local Imam, leader at the mosque, stopped by to tell me that he is listening to the Bible stories. He said there is much truth in them, and we must continue to broadcast the stories so people can listen.”

Bible Distribution
“All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”—2 Timothy 3:16-17

Most people in the villages where we work are either non-literate, or read at a very low level of competency. Also, in rural regions, the Bible is not available unless someone brings it to them, either in written or audio form.

Therefore, we believe that Bible distribution serves an import role in planting the seed of the gospel among an unreached people. For those who are able to read and want a copy of the Scriptures, we aim to make available to them a Bible in their heart language. And, we encourage them to share the good news of God’s Word with others as they read.

Bibles are made available due to the generous support of individuals, small groups, and churches.

Discipleship & Leadership Development
And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.—2 Timothy 2:2

discipleshipMission10:14 works to disciple new believers and equip them to become leaders who will take what they have learned and teach it to others. This process of discipleship is critical in the development of the local church, and is a great opportunity for our partners who want to serve as volunteers and help establish the church among unreached people groups.
